Maria Abi Hanna:
CEO & Co-Founder of
Food Label Maker

Maria Abi Hanna is a licensed dietitian and food tech entrepreneur with a decade of clinical and consulting experience. She holds a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics from the American University of Beirut and has worked extensively with restaurants, food manufacturers, and foodservice teams on recipe analysis and menu development.

As Co-Founder and CEO of Food Label Maker, Maria oversees product strategy and regulatory accuracy, helping businesses create compliant nutrition and supplement labels with confidence.

About Maria Abi Hanna

Maria attained a BSc in Nutrition & Dietetics in 2008, propelling her into a 7-year nutrition-focused career in various clinics and diet centers. She supported patients as a dietician and became more involved in menu and foodservice development programs – tasks that began sparking her interest in the industry.

In 2015, Maria co-founded KeepEATreal, where she provided nutrition analysis and menu optimisation for restaurants, cafés, and food manufacturers. Through this work, she repeatedly encountered outdated, overly complex nutrition-labeling tools, especially for non-technical users and businesses outside the U.S., highlighting a gap in the market for modern, accessible compliance software.

This insight led to the creation of Food Label Maker in 2020, which Maria co-founded to simplify labeling for food brands of all sizes. Today, she leads the company with her other founders, overseeing regulatory alignment, product strategy, and customer-driven development to ensure the platform remains intuitive, accurate, and globally adaptable.
